Small town. Big heart. Bigger mission. Brandon's raising every dollar he can for a cause that matters — and he needs Owosso behind him all the way to the Curwood finale on June 7. Let's crown one of our own.
Hi, I'm Brandon Mead. I was born in Owosso in 1980. I grew up in this community and graduated from Corunna High School. I've lived here in downtown Owosso with my wife Jennifer since 2013, and we've owned Cakey Cakes & Bagels together for the past four years. Our kids all graduated from Owosso.
This is our home. This is where we love to be. This is where we want to help.
Mr. Owosso candidates pick a nonprofit and go all-in. Here's Brandon's.
Voices for Children is the Shiawassee County child advocacy center. They serve child survivors of abuse and their families — and every service they provide is 100% free. Court-appointed advocates (CASA), forensic interviews, child and family therapy, a family resource center, and prevention programs that reach the whole community.
Their Owosso office sits right here in town at 1216 W. Main Street. Every dollar Brandon raises goes straight to the kids and families they serve.
Four weeks and a day. Every event counts. Show up, bring friends, bring cash.
Meet the candidates. Brandon will be on the mic, ready to embarrass himself. Come shake a hand.

[Describe the second event — add more cards as the campaign rolls out.]
Talent, swimsuit, formal interview, trophy. Pack the tent and scream his name.
Drop your name in the hat. We'll send you event reminders and the finale details so you can pack the tent on June 7.
